Kelley S. Miller
EdD
CA, USAudiences leave Dr. Miller's talks with a framework for making unlikely choices strategically, and the power to rewrite the stories they tell about who they are and what's possible.
Kelley S. Miller, EdD is a speaker, coach, and facilitator who helps audiences reimagine what's possible in their careers, their leadership, and their lives.
Dr. Miller's path has been anything but conventional. She left her family's ranch in Texas to act professionally, and later followed a call to adventure making wine in Napa Valley and abroad. She eventually found her way to the middle school classroom and then to the broader work of educational leadership. Each unexpected turn deepened her understanding of identity, reinvention, and how making bold choices expands the stories we tell about ourselves and the world. Today, she draws on those experiences and her work as a school district leader, educational consultant, and team builder. Her audiences are inspired to think strategically about unlikely choices that can lead to their most meaningful growth.
As a parent raising a child with dyslexia, Dr. Miller knows firsthand the courage it takes to navigate unexpected challenges in parenthood and education. She also knows the power of chosen community — having built her own village of families who, without extended family nearby, came together to share carpools, childcare, and the everyday work of raising children. Her story is a testament to what becomes possible when people stop waiting for the village and start building it.
Whether she's speaking on leadership, career reinvention, or the art of building community from scratch, Dr. Miller's approach is always human-centered, story-driven, and grounded in the conviction that our most unlikely detours are often our greatest teachers.
