From facing eviction to teaching financial education, Kionnie created The Responsible Homegirl to teach young adults how to stop wasting money and become financially responsible.

Kionnie Epps is the creator of The Responsible Homegirl. She is a native of Kingstree, SC and a College of Charleston alumna with a bachelor's degree in Public Health. Through her financial hardships, in college, Kionnie learned the importance of financial literacy and knew she wasn’t the only 20-something who struggled with managing her money responsibly. This realization led to the creation of The Responsible Homegirl: a financial education company committed to helping adults and teens become financially responsible so they can live the life of their dreams, and together, we can close the racial wealth gap and end cycles of poverty. Her deep faith in God and her mantra to lift as she climbs keeps her going and sharing financial education with those who need her most.
