As a former academic underachiever due to fatherly abandonment, Marlon overcame many obstacles through a spirit of resilience and he now inspires others to find meaning and purpose in life through personal wellness and resilience. He brings a wealth of knowledge, personal experiences, and energy and passion that help him to connect and engage with his audience.
He has appeared on radio and television, and presented for The Coalition for Physician Well-being and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Annual Conference and Leadership Symposium.
Marlon is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board-Certified Chaplain. He received both his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. He also received his Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University.
