Internationally-recognized and award-winning former elected official and changemaker Dominic Frongillo made history at age 22 by becoming the youngest person to serve on the Town Council in Caroline, New York.
A five-time delegate to the United Nations, in 2012, Frongillo founded Elected Officials to Protect New York, a successful bipartisan initiative of over 850 elected officials across the state that helped win New York's statewide ban on fracking.
Award-winning for his work in climate change and clean energy, Frongillo is trained by Al Gore, served under Governor Paterson on New York's Climate Change Action Plan advisory council, and is a board director for Black Oak Wind Farm, New York State's first community-owned wind farm.
Selected as an inaugural 2018 Roddenberry Fellow, Dominic is a finalist for the national Barbara Jordan Leadership Award and appeared in the documentary Dear Governor Cuomo. Author Jeff Thigpen named Frongillo one of America's 16 most notable young elected leaders.
A frequent keynote speaker, Frongillo has spoken on five continents and for dozens of ivy-league and top universities such as Brown, Cornell, and Furman on topics of climate change, sustainability, and social change. A national keynote for Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) student summit, he is a sought-after speaker for Earth Day, Earth Week, Sustainability Week, cities and local governments, college campuses and higher education, youth and students, and green, sustainable development, and environment events.
