Mike's purpose in life is to 'create environments of potential'. There is no better setting in which to practice this mission than the world of sales. After starting his career as an eager graphic reproducer in the depths of a pre-press house, Mike quickly found his forte and entered into the world of sales. The following 28 years have provided him with a wealth of experience in Sales, as well as Marketing and Sales Management roles within the graphic arts, printing, software and consulting industries. These encounters have shaped the practices and beliefs at Banjar Group.
Mike's extensive experience has allowed him to connect with sales people from all industries and walks of life across the globe. The common thread in all these interactions is the universal desire of people to 'do better'. It was while selling million dollar digital print solutions that Mike saw that customers needed more than just "the box"; sales people needed the skills to sell and market the entire solution from application right through to delivery. So it was during his employment at Fuji Xerox Australia that Mike realised his passion for training people. His passionate and energetic personality lends itself to connecting quickly with others and building a relationship of trust in which to share the experiences of the sales game.
He thrives on the challenges presented and strives to present solutions and possibilities to achieve successful outcomes. Mike's training and facilitation skills assist organizations to transform their sales environment by bringing the skills and knowledge to deliver that change. Over the years Mike has developed a suite of training programs that contain proven strategic and tactical tools and processes designed to refine an organizations sales operation to a winning edge. Mike's understanding of sales has provided a firm foundation for developing programs and presentations ideally suited to today's sales person. His ongoing interest in the world of sales makes him a source of insight and the perfect coach for those lucky enough to be in his 'Sales Rockets' inner sanctum. Most recently Mike's need to qualify his beliefs in the theoretical side of the sales process has seen him be referred to as the 'sales scientist'. He continues to strive for a complete understanding of the science of sales and is committed to applying the learnings and insights to his key-note presentations and blog. In 2014 Mike and Banjar published their first white paper " Sales Shift 2020" which has been syndicated globally through RSM and influenced sales environments globally as a result. Mike is currently a virtual sales manager of a number of organisations, chairs a number of advisory boards and is chairman of a NZ based accounting firm.

He is a member of the Mindshop Australia Senior Management Network at AMSF+ standing and presently runs two Sales Rockets Network Groups for Salespeople and Sales Managers. In 2014 Mike was also awarded the VTO award for value to others for the second time.

Banjar is the Balinese word for 'community'; Mike believes this approach guarantees the best possible outcomes for his clients.
