Sherry Benson-Podolchuk is a retired police officer with Canada's National police force, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). She has written three books, her first publication was WOMEN NOT WANTED, about her 20-year career and how she dealt with workplace conflict, bullying, and sexual harassment. Since retiring she works as a professional educator and consultant focusing on workplace conflict and helping others find their voice'.

 

She is frequently called upon as a subject matter analyst by media and government organizations. She was part of two Federal government reports focusing on sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace and provided testimony and recommendations for changes in the RCMP.  

 

In 2015 Sherry presented at TEDx Winnipeg on 'Tools to Survive Workplace Bullying'.  She graduated with a from the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Conflict Resolution Studies in 2012.

 

Sherry has presented for Universities, SHEDay,   RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa, Canadian Conference Board of Canada, women's groups both locally and internationally on the importance of workplace conflict, leadership, and mental health.

 

In November 2017, she received the Canada 150 Senate Medal from Senator Grant Mitchell, for her continued efforts at helping others speak up about harassment.

 

She was part of the Documentary by John Walker a Canadian and International Film director that focuses on 'bullying',   premiered at  Toronto International Film Festival in May of 2019. Her motto 'If no one says anything then nothing changes. Everyone deserves to feel safe at home and in the workplace.'

Motivating your employees to create a healthy workplace.

Taking my own experiences as a female officer with the RCMP and the 20 years dealing with workplace conflict/ bullying to help encouarage others to speak up, provide motivation with education on a healthy workplace and inspire everyone to see that changes can happen. Workplace stress is damaging for both the employees and the financial impact on any business. Creating a healthy workplace benifits everyone.

Ignore conflict creates big problems

Explains what happens when workplace conflicts are ignored and how quickly can escualte into a toxic workplace with 'sick' employees.  The long-term damage is devating when management is not proactive.
