     Titus Chan was born in Canton China from where Cantonese cuisine flourished worldwide. After his early childhood education in Canton, he continued on to attend and graduate from Kwon Shar College in Hong Kong with a bachelor's degree in English and Chinese Literature. He received a bachelor's degree in Speech in 1954 in Harding College in Arkansas and a Master's Degree in Education at Abilene Christian University in Texas. He has a doctorate degree in Administrative Education from the University of Hawaii, taught mathematics at Jackson College and also served as Chef at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu.

    For two decades PBS, Warner Bros. and ABC presented coast-to-coast broadcasts of Chan's Chinese Cooking Show series. He has authored three major cookbooks sold nationwide and served 22 months as a weekly food columnist for the major newspaper for the state of Hawaii. He has made appearances cross-country on commercial stations, PBS and also on "Good Morning" programs for many major American television networks.

      Since 1984 he has been serving as a lecturer and presenting programs featuring cuisine, culture and entertainment. He has served as a consultant and performer for Crystal Cruises along with other cruise lines such as Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.
