Nik Bowers
I help people of all ages discover their language and process of personal courage.
In a world that is screaming for “quick fixes”, Nik knows that true transformation takes time, commitment, and action. Nik helps people of all ages learn how to reset themselves, no matter where they are in life—even when they realize rock bottom has a basement.
As a former teacher, principal, and college professor, Nik has spent her entire career dedicated to helping people grow. She teaches beyond the what and the why- she digs into the how and gives practical researched takeaways to people as they think, “I can do that.” Using science-based research, stories of pain, triumph, and humor, she reaches out to hearts and minds. She uses her experience of recovering from an eating disorder, being homeless, and healing from childhood sexual abuse to demonstrate that small consistent action creates big impact.
She has extensive expertise working with leaders, teachers, and students from around the world and presents with practical application and experience. Winning awards throughout her career for her creativity and innovative programs for leaders, teachers, and students, she was even selected to be the lead story in a book titled, “Teachers: A Tribute To The Enlightened, The Exceptional, and The Extraordinary.”
She has mentored women through the recovery of their eating disorders (after recovering from her own), developed mentoring/social-emotional programs for girls ages 9-18, and grown her own daughters into independent women stepping into the lives they have created.
Key Takeaways include:
- Identifying techniques for overcoming fear and self-doubt
- Develop creativity skills and practice them daily
- Recognizing the importance of taking small risks every single day
- Identifying the importance of persistence and resilience to build confidence.
- Turning definitive statements into powerful questions
