TN, USI help overthinkers and overachievers ditch burnout and create lives led with intention, self-compassion, and balance-starting with themselves.
I’m Lauren Ruth Martin—a therapist, speaker, and the founder of Nine to Kind. For years, I lived in the hustle cycle, constantly chasing achievements and running on fumes. I know what it’s like to look successful on the outside but feel completely burned out on the inside. That experience led me to rethink everything about how we approach productivity, mental health, and self-worth.
As a licensed mental health therapist at Novel Counseling, I work with overthinkers, perfectionists, and high achievers who are ready to rewrite the script on their lives. Using approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Radically Open DBT, I help my clients move past perfectionism, manage anxiety and depression, and reconnect with themselves.
But here’s the thing: so much of the burnout we experience isn’t just personal—it’s systemic. That’s why I created Nine to Kind, a movement (and a planner!) designed for people who feel like they can’t keep up with the constant grind. Nine to Kind is all about helping you shift from a mindset of “doing it all” to one of self-compassion and sustainable progress. Because let’s be real—life isn’t about crossing off every box; it’s about feeling good while you’re living it.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m on stage speaking to audiences about mental health, burnout, and finding balance in a world obsessed with hustle. I love turning complex topics into practical, actionable steps that leave people feeling inspired and ready to take back their time and energy. Whether I’m talking to a group of corporate leaders or a room full of creatives, my goal is always the same: to help people show up for their lives in a way that feels real and meaningful.
If you’re ready to have real conversations about productivity, mental health, and what it means to live a full life—let’s connect.
