VA, USDr. Denise Ritter Bernardini holds degrees in Vocal Pedagogy and Vocal Performance and certifications in Neuro-linguistic Programing. She is currently completing a degree in psychotherapy. She has extensively studied various breathing methods for anxiety, mindfulness, stage-fright, creating the best resonant sound, and how to unleash the passionate presenter without scaring the audience.
Dr. Bernardini has helped many clients achieve optimal breathing, singing, and speaking techniques, giving them the tools necessary to employ the transformative power of the voice. Her emphasis on resonance, mindfulness, and the breath has given her clients the ability to go on to international careers, more ease in presentations, and better communication within the framework of teamwork.
Her experience as an international performer, combined with her research in voice, anatomy, and her close work with Speech-Language Pathologists, has given her the expertise and knowledge necessary to maintain an award-winning voice studio and coaching practice. Her extensive meditation experience and mindfulness studies within the scope of psychotherapy have also informed her of current practices to help her clients deal with anxiety, phobias, and better communication with co-workers and loved ones. Denise enjoys writing and is an Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine. She has published articles for Medicare Beauty and The Journal of Singing and is the co-author of The Mindfulness of Singing: A Transformational Journey Using the Power of the Voice, co-written with Toni Crowder. The book is due to be released in 2022.
