AB, CANADAI am a journalist with more than 30 years of experience at daily newspapers. I've been a reporter, features writer, columnist, editor and editorial board member. As a columnist for the Calgary Herald for 18 years, my columns also appeared regularly in newspapers across Canada. I have also been published in the Chicago Tribune, WHERE Magazine and the literary magazines The Peacock Journal and Agnes and True. I have a BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin. I started my journalism career as a 16-year-old reporter for the local radio station in my hometown, and later moved on to become a staff writer at the supermarket tabloid, the National Examiner. From there, I spent 15 years at the Winnipeg Sun before moving to Calgary. I currently work as managing editor for Davis Media Co. in Winnipeg and run a freelance editing and editorial consulting business. I am also a pro-life feminist.
