Tomer's award-winning speaking and broadcast career spans 12 years.  He currently forecasts the weather on television daily for FOX-31 and CW-2 in Denver, CO.  Tomer's presentated to well over 100 classrooms and is a sought-after keynote speaker.  He routinely conducts mountain meteorology workshops.     

The Mountain: You name a mountain and Tomer has probably worked it.  Tomer works with mountaineers and skiers around the world to reach the top of 8,000meter peaks including Mount Everest, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Denali, Aconcagua, Peak Lenin, Rainier, and dozens of high peaks across the United States including all of Colorado's 14,000ft peaks.  Tomer has stories that will lift you up and some that will break your heart.  

Tomer is also a mountaineer and co-authored the best-selling, award-winning book, Sleeping on the Summits: Colorado 14er High Bivys.  Tomer's pinpoint weather forecasts were one of the keys to succeess of this book project.  Tomer and his co-author climbed during violent afternoon thunderstorms in order to make each summit before sunset.       

Tomer graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology graduating with honors.  He minored in Mathematics and Broadcasting.  Tomer is fully certified and holds the AMS CBM and the NWA Seals of Approval.  He currently serves on the NWA Panel of Seal Evaluators.  Tomer is also the lead forecaster for the #1 visited website for snowsports including skiing and snowboarding.
